Hi, I’m Cing Root. I live in Lawrenceville, Illinois, with my husband, Carson, and our three children. I am passionate about serving in ministry and speaking to women, sharing how God brings faith, healing, and hope even in life’s unexpected journeys.

In 2022, my life took an unexpected turn when I was diagnosed with stomach cancer. It was not part of my plans and not a journey I would have chosen. Yet in the middle of fear, uncertainty, and suffering, God met me in ways I had never experienced before.

What I once thought might break me became a season where I witnessed His mercy, His nearness, and His faithfulness up close. By the grace of God, I am healed today.

I wrote The Unplanned Journey to share what the Lord taught me through that season. It is more than a story about illness. It is a testimony of surrender, trust, and discovering hope when life does not unfold the way we expect it to.

Today, I travel and speak at women’s gatherings, church events, and special engagements, encouraging others who may be walking through their own unexpected valleys. My heart is to remind women that even when the path feels uncertain, God is steady, present, and faithful.
